After the death of his first wife, Kalle remarried an American woman of Finnish heritage named Emma. They continued to live in Toronto, Ontario with the five boys from his first marriage. Kalle and Emma had three children. One girl died at a very early age. The son, Alan, was an engineer who passed away in 1946 in Chicago at the age of 29. The third child, Doris trained and worked as a public school teacher in Toronto. She is married and has two children. She and her husband, James, live in Ottawa, Ontario.
