At this time, the family does not have any written records concerning his origins in Finland. As well, there is no recollection of family history prior to Kalle's birth. We believe that he did have a male cousin who came over to North America by way of Toronto but eventually settled in Ohio. That information comes from the Florida cluster of Maukonens which is the lineage of that person (see Maukonens Across the Globe).
